Fenqi Hu/ Fenchihu was originally developed in the early 19th Century as a stop of Alishan Forest Train between Alishan and Chiyayi. It was used as a fuel refill center or loading center. It is a small town situated on mountain slope and is at 1400 meter height from sea level. It is now famous for the old street. Old street is an road with steep slope.
